In
2002, the MSV Foundation invited Free Clinic Medical Directors from
around the State to a forum to share the successes and challenges encountered
in delivering quality health care to uninsured Virginians. The MSV Foundation
has continued to bring these physicians together to discuss these issues
and provide them with continuing medical education courses applicable
to the patient population they serve. These forums have served as a
catalyst to the creation of the Free Clinic Medical Directors Council
and a strong partnership with the Virginia Association of Free Clinics.
