Roanoke Valley Academy of Medicine
Grant Award: $10,000
Project Access works to improve the health and well-being of lower-income, uninsured persons by increasing the free care commitments made by area physicians and health care facilities to assist lower-income, uninsured persons and coordinating these free care resources through community collaboration. The Roanoke Valley Academy of Medicine and the Bradley Free Clinic work closely together to help recruit volunteer physicians and provide medical facilities for patient examinations and necessary testing as part of Project Access.

Grant Award: $3,333
This is a web-based application that provides data on population, economic, and health indicators at the locality and zip code level in a easy to use and understand format. The primary objective of the Atlas is to make community health data available to the general public so that community-based organizations will have access to data on which to base their decisions and justify need.
